Motor vehicle accident with entrapment - Coastal Highway and Rt.24

On January 7th 2005 Rehoboth Center dispatched Station 86 to a 2 vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Chief Jeff Blizzard 86-15 responed on Engine 86-9 and established command for the incident. Upon arrival 86-15 determined the door on one of the vehicles needed to be removed. Other responding equipment were Ambulance A-86, Rescue 86-6, Engine 86-8 and Engine 86-4. Manpower from Rescue 86-6 were assigned to do the removal of the door. Other units assisted in securing the vehicles, removal of debris from Coastal Highway and traffic control. Units remained on scene for 30 minutes before returning to stations.
