May is Mental Health Awareness Month
May 16, 2026
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. ??
In the fire service and emergency response professions, we spend our days helping others through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. But it’s just as important that we take care of ourselves and each other along the way.
Mental health matters every day. Stress, fatigue, and the emotional toll of this job are real, and seeking support is never a sign of weakness — it’s a sign of strength.
This month serves as an important reminder to check in on your fellow firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, police officers, friends, and family members. A simple conversation can make a difference.
