Motor Vehicle Collision - Coastal Hwy, Forgotten Mile

On June 22, 2013, at 1826 hours the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company and the Sussex County EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 20913 Coastal Highway. Upon arrival a subject was trapped in the vehicle which was partially lodged under a parked motor home. The subject was extricated by Rehoboth Beach Firefighters and transported to Beebe Medical Center. North bound Route 1 was closed for about an hour and rerouted by Rehoboth Beach Fire Company Fire Police. Delaware State Police are investigating the incident.
