U.S. Surgeon General Visits Dewey Beach - Dewey Beach

On Tuesday August 2nd, the Surgeon General of the United States made a stop in Dewey Beach to see an Open Water Rescue Team Training Drill. The purpose of the visit was to show how several agency's work together to provide emergency services to possible victims of water related incidents. Taking part in the exercise was Dewey Beach Patrol, Delaware State Police, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Co., Sussex County EMS, DNREC, U.S. Coast Guard.
