Accident, Sunday May 15 - Rt.#1 N. of Inlet Bridge

RBVFC responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident with entrapment on Sunday May 15th, at RT.#1 north of the Indian River Inlet Bridge at Approx. 1600hrs. Crews extracated the trapped victims in about 25 minutes, with 6 patients being transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, and Nanticoke in Seaford and PRMC in Salisbury, Md. Delaware Trooper 2 along with Maryland Trooper 4 carried the most serious, with BLS units from Lewes and Millville transporting all others. SCEMS responded with a Level 1 MCI and did an outstanding job handling ALS-BLS co-ordination. Our thanks to the Fire Police, DNREC Officers and DelDot who handled traffic on busy RT. #1.
