Hood Fire Thompson Island Restaurant

Rehoboth Beach assisted by Lewes firefighters responded to a fire in a Kitchen Stove Exhaust Hood on Sunday August 28th at Thompson Island Restaurant & Brewery at approx. 11:30am, located on Coastal Highway. Arriving units found a fire still burning in the hood after the Hood System had Dumped. Crews contained it to the Hood and the Wood Fired Stove unit with no extension into the roof. The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating. Units cleared after about 1 hour.
