3 House's Burn in Dewey Beach

Firefighters from Rehoboth Beach assisted by 12 other Fire Departments from Sussex County battled a blaze that destroyed 3 Homes at the corner of Bayard Avenue and Swedes Street in Dewey Beach on Saturday Morning April 16th. 4 vehicles were also destroyed in the blaze which was discovered by Dewey Police at about 3am. All Occupants of the homes were safely evacuated prior to the arrival of Rehoboth Beach Fire Crews. No injuries were reported to the approx. 75 firefighters who were on the scene for over 5 hours controlling the inferno. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating. Station 86 would like to thank all the Fire Departments that provided Manpower this morning and SCEMS for there coverage.
