Full-Time: Starting Annual Salary of $18/hr ($48,672 per year) The schedule for this position is 24 / 48 with a Kelly day (with this schedule, there is no need to worry about picking up an extra shift to compensate for the short week). Successful Candidate will be required to complete a 1-year probationary period.
Part Time: Various shifts from 12 to 24 hours on as needed basis.
Job Description: Employee will be responsible for the staffing of basic life support ambulances on an as needed basis. You will also be providing emergency medical care and transportation to local hospitals. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, daily routine checks of tools and equipment that are on the ambulances as well as keeping the ambulance clean and stocked. The employee will also be responsible for light janitorial work in and around the fire station.
Minimum Requirements for Application
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application
- Must have a current NREMT and Delaware EMT Cards
- Hold a current AED and CPR Certificates
- Have a valid Delaware Driver’s License and Delaware EVO
- Successful Completion of Basic Fire & Structural Firefighting Skills, Hazardous Materials Response Skills, and Vehicle Rescue *** Or within one year of being hired***
- Must be able to lift (250 lbs.) with assistance of partner
