Serious Accident Coastal Highway

A serious vehicle accident on Coastal Highway south of Rt. 24 north of Rehoboth Beach between a Cement Truck and a SUV resulted in 2 patients being transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes at 9:44 am Friday morning. Heavy entrapment of one victim had rescuers from Rehoboth Beach and Lewes working for over and hour to free the patient. A Heavy Wrecker was called in to assist with the rescue which closed Coastal Highway for several hours while crews worked. Delaware State Police ate investigating.
