Accident South of Dewey Beach-Towers Road

Rehoboth Beach Fire and EMS units responded to a motor vehicle accident on Coastal Highway south of Dewey Beach at Towers Road on Saturday October 1st at approx. 4:45pm. Arriving responders four a Jolly Trolly on its side with several passengers injured. Assistance was requested from Lewes, Bethany Beach, Millville and Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad along with Sussex County EMS. Over 25 patients were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Coastal Highway was closed for a short while as crews treated the patients. The Delaware State Police are investigating.
