Accident Coastal Highway

Rehoboth Beach Fire & EMS along with Sussex County Paramedics responded to a vehicle accident on Coastal Highway at Old Landing Road on Thursday August 18th at approx. 2:10 PM. Arriving Units found that a scooter had run into the back of a work truck parked on the shoulder resulting in injuries to 2 people on the scooter. Both were taken to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes with one in serious condition. Traffic on Coastal Highway was backed up for several miles as crews worked to clear the scene. Delaware State Police are investigating.
